It’s the autumn knack tomorrow

If you’re in the Wellington region, you’ve probably noticed that the weather has changed decidedly over the last two weeks. I guess there is no denying now that autumn is upon us. But that’s not all bad news, because it also means that it’s time for the autumn knack.

Once again Justine and her team have been working hard behind the scenes to put together a great fair, and tomorrow is the big day. According to metservice, it should be a stunning day tomorrow in Wellington, all the better to browse the outside stalls. Of course, you don’t want to spend too long out in those rays, so make sure you pop inside too – because that’s where I’ll be!

The autumn knack last year was my first ever market experience. I’ve been at every knack market since, and I’m really happy that I’ll be there again tomorrow. I hope to see lots of you there, and if you’ve got a stall there too, I hope you have a wonderful day!

I <3 Felt Wednesday - 10 March 2010

It’s well and truly time for another I <3 Felt Wednesday Showcase. I've been so busy sewing for markets recently, that my wardrobe is looking a little sad and dated. I've started a side project to update my look (check out www.handmakemeover.wordpress.com if you’re interested in seeing my progress – and helping to keep me motivated by commenting 🙂 ). But I also need some new clothes now. So I’ve been busy browing what’s available in the Clothing > Womenswear category on Felt. Here are a few of my favourites:

Make it a handmade Christmas!

Here’s an idea: why not get all your Christmas shopping out of the way by the end of the first week of December?

With two great Craft Markets coming up in Wellington this week, it’ll be easily done!

There’s going to be a special pre-Christmas Craft2.0 at the Dowse on the evening of Thursday, 3 December 2009.  Come along and check out what all the best, lovely crafty people in Wellington have been up to.

Then next Saturday, 5 December will be the kristmas knack market.  The knack markets are a great fundraiser held at and supporting Berhampore school.  If you haven’t gone along to the knack yet, you should.  You’ll discover a wonderful community feel, many lovely crafters, great coffee, and the best darn paua fritters you’ve ever had!
